My name is Susie Soriano Duarte, a native Austinite raised in East Austin, proud mother of three adult children, and grandmother of two baby girls.

I proudly served the State of Texas for 29 years. I retired in April 2023 and began dedicating more of my time to volunteering, mentoring, wellness, and serving my community.

I am the Founder & President of Yo Soy ATX, a nonprofit committed to connecting individuals and families with free clothing, community resources, wellness initiatives, and opportunities to connect and thrive.

I also work part-time alongside my husband with Fiesta Austin and Blue Agave Travel, giving me the flexibility to care for my family and continue doing what I love most, giving back.

As a longtime wellness advocate, I have completed numerous half marathons and four full marathons and enjoy creating free activities that bring people together and encourage healthy living.

Serving my community is more than something I do—it’s who I am. I believe even the smallest act of kindness can help someone feel seen, supported, and valued.
